Behind the scenes
The care behind every product
We're a small team selling to dog parents. Every product is chosen, checked and packed before it ships, because it ends up in someone's home and in a dog's daily routine.
- Thoughtful design Colors and materials picked to look right in a living room, not only in the dog's corner.
- Packed with care Every order is checked and packed by hand before it leaves us.
- Email support until you're happy A question about a size or an order? Write to us and a real person writes back.
Built for Max, our own dog
BarklyPaw started with Max, who spent every summer asleep on the bathroom tile because it was the only cold thing in the house.
Looking for something better for him, we found that most of what gets sold to dog owners was never tested on a dog living through real heat.
So we test every product at home, through our own summer, before it goes in the store.

He stopped sleeping on the bathroom floorCooper is a four year old golden and he used to disappear into the bathroom every night. I put the mat next to the couch and that is where he has been ever since. I did not expect it to work on the first evening.

A husky in Phoenix, finally settledSummer with Luna here is a fight every single year. This is genuinely cool to the touch, and it is not damp or sticky like the gel pad we had before. She lies on it even with the AC running.

It suits the living room, it does not look like dog gearI went with the brown because it works with our furniture. Millie was on it within an hour and it has been her spot since. It has been through the wash twice and came out looking new.

Take one size upI ordered the M first and Bear's paws hung off the edge when he stretched out. We went up to the XL and now it covers all of him, which is what he needed. The mat itself is great, just order bigger than you think you need.

The second mat went straight in the carOne at home and one in the trunk for road trips. Toby climbs into the car and sits down on it right away. Delivery took about two weeks and the tracking email showed up the day it shipped.

It took him three days, then it clickedCharlie sniffed it and walked away the first day. We moved it to the spot he already liked, and after a few days he would not get off it. Worth being patient with a stubborn beagle.

Survived the washing machineMoose dragged mud onto it within a week. Gentle cycle, cold water, laid it flat to dry and it came out like new. That was the one thing I wanted to check before I bought it.

Small, soft, folds into a bagWe took the XS for our shih tzu. It folds into the bag we take to the park and opens out on the grass in a second. Customer service answered my sizing question by email the same day.

She moved onto it full-timeOur black lab suffers every summer and she used to live on the bathroom tile. I put the mat in the living room and Onyx barely moves off it now. She sleeps on it at night too.

My pug is calmer at nightWaffles breathes heavy on hot nights and it scares me. Since the mat arrived he settles right down on it and looks a lot more relaxed. Not a magic fix, but the difference is clear.

We took the buy one get oneTwo dogs and one cool spot is a recipe for an argument, so the offer made the decision for us. One mat stays in the living room and the other rides in the car for weekend trips. Afternoons in this house got a lot quieter.

I ordered it doubting it, and it stayed in the living roomI ordered this one doubting it, because the gel pad we bought a few years ago swelled up and started leaking after two months. This is a completely different thing, not wet and not sticky, and it goes in the washing machine. Our girl sat down on it within half an hour and that corner of the living room is hers now. The guide that came by email was more detailed than I expected and I read all of it. I would have liked a size between the L and the XL, otherwise no complaints.
