BarklyPaw did not start with a product. It started with a picture every dog owner knows: a dog getting up off his comfortable bed to go lie on the bathroom tile, because the tile is a little bit cooler.

Our own dog, Max, did it every summer. He had a good bed. He chose the floor anyway, because the floor was the only cool thing in the house.

Dogs do not cool down the way we do

We sweat across the whole body and step into a shower. A dog barely has that option, and the coat does not come off at the end of June. So he pants, and he goes looking for a cold surface. That is a healthy instinct, not a problem to fix.

What actually helps is not another random patch of floor. It is one comfortable place, made for exactly this.

No gel, no electricity

We built the mat from breathable three-layer ice-silk fabric, with no synthetic gel filling and no battery. The kind of thing you can leave with your dog while you are at work without thinking twice about it.

Honesty before the sale

We tell the truth about what the product is and how long delivery takes. No exaggerated health claims, no invented urgency, no fake reviews. The mat is a comfort product, not a medical device, and we say so.

We are not veterinarians

On hot days, always make sure your dog has water and shade. A cooling mat is one simple way to add comfort, not a substitute for care or professional advice.
